Introduction

The following teaching experience describes a teaching unit within the framework of the Postgraduate Course in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) by the Universitat Autonòma de Barcelona. 

The unit content is part of the Secondary History curriculum: Medieval times. The majority of the content was taught in Catalan by the history teacher; except for the Norsemen which students studied in English.

All the activities and contributions were taken into consideration from a language and history point of view, sharing all the results with both teachers.

It has been a very successful project where students have learned content in English and different teachers have worked together in order to distribute the History and English content.
